Student teams (3-6 students) and at least one principal investigator (PI) create a proposal for a product or service with commercial applications using a NASA Intellectual Property. Click the link to browse the NASA intellectual property (IP) website.
There are so many IPs to choose from! We also have a sample list here.
NOTE: A principal investigator could be a previous or current professor, a dean or department chair, or another faculty member and/or administrator.

Teams create a product or service that solves a problem and improves life for people here on Earth. The product or service should have commercial applications using the selected IP (See #1).

Deadline: March 13, 2024

Selected teams will travel to NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, Texas to pitch their ideas.
Travel and lodging provided by NASA MITTIC (for core team members and the primary principal investigator).

PRIZE MONEY: 1ST Place $20,000 and 2nd Place $10,000
